Zhou Enlai and Nikita¬†Khrushchev met in Moscow. Kruschchev said to Zhou, “Look at the differences between us and our two nations. My parents were poor working class peasants and yet under communism I became the leader of the most important nation in the world. Your parents were capitalist aristocrats!” Zhou replied, “But we have this in common, we are each traitors to our class.”

Brezhnev proudly showed his old mother the palatial winter residences and summer dacha estates where he lived. “You ¬†have done well for yourself, my son, she said, but what if the Reds come back?”
